Rufus Red [$10] was named to honor the great-grandfather of Liberty Vineyard’s owner, Sheldon “Rufus” Butler, who planted their first vineyard in Sheridan, NY near the Lake Erie shore back in the 1860s (that vineyard is still producing grapes today!). This unique red wine is fruit-forward with a long finish and is great with pizza or spaghetti. Rufus Red is absolutely one of the best wines that I have ever tried. I could literally drink it with every meal, everyday. Do yourself a huge favor and get a bottle.
